Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 20, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Lumina Lighting Group LLC, doing business as LumiHouse (“LumiHouse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, retains, and discloses personal information when you visit lumihousedecor.shop, create an account, place an order, contact us, subscribe to marketing, or otherwise interact with us.
1. Scope and responsible business
This Policy applies to the LumiHouse website, online store, customer service, and related offline order records. It does not govern a third-party site or service with its own privacy policy. The business responsible for the information is Lumina Lighting Group LLC, 5101 E Philadelphia St, Ontario, CA 91761; [email protected]; +1 800 821-2358.
2. Personal information we collect
- Identifiers and contact details: name, billing and shipping address, email, telephone number, and account identifier.
- Transaction and commercial information: cart, orders, returns, refunds, product preferences, promotions used, and customer-service history.
- Payment information: payment method, transaction status, and payment token. Payment processors handle full card data directly; LumiHouse does not retain full card numbers or security codes.
- Device and online activity: IP address, device and browser type, cookie or similar identifiers, pages viewed, clicks, referring page, sessions, and store interactions.
- Approximate location: city, state, or country inferred from an IP address. We do not intentionally collect precise location for tracking without notice and any consent required by law.
- Communications and content: emails, forms, call records or messages, photos, videos, reviews, and other content voluntarily submitted.
- Preferences and inferences: language, marketing choices, and possible interests inferred from browsing or purchases.
- Sensitive personal information: account credentials and payment-related information may be sensitive under some laws. We use it only as reasonably necessary for accounts, payment, fraud prevention, security, or other legally permitted purposes, not to infer characteristics about you.
3. Sources
We obtain information from you; your browser and device; payment processors; e-commerce and hosting platforms; carriers; fraud-prevention and security providers; analytics and advertising partners; and other sources you authorize.
4. Why we use information
- Operate the site and accounts; process payments; fulfill, ship, return, exchange, and refund orders.
- Verify identity and address and detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized transactions.
- Respond to inquiries, provide support, and send transactional notices about orders, security, and policy changes.
- Maintain and improve the site, diagnose errors, analyze use, develop products, and measure marketing.
- Send promotional email, deliver relevant advertising, and manage preferences where we have any consent required by law or another lawful basis.
- Comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, legal-process, and law-enforcement obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Evaluate and complete a merger, financing, asset sale, or similar business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We and our providers may use necessary, preference, analytics, and advertising cookies or similar technologies. Necessary technologies support the cart, checkout, security, and account functions. Analytics help us understand performance. Advertising technologies may measure campaigns or present advertising based on activity across sites. When required, non-essential technologies are used only after consent. Use the cookie banner or “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer to adjust settings. Blocking cookies may affect cart, sign-in, or checkout functions.
6. Parties to whom we disclose information
- Service providers and contractors for hosting, e-commerce, payment, fulfillment, warehousing, carriers, support, email, cloud storage, IT, security, fraud prevention, and analytics.
- Advertising and analytics partners for measurement, attribution, and personalized advertising; under some state laws this may be a “share” or “sale.”
- Professional advisers and authorities, including attorneys, accountants, insurers, auditors, courts, regulators, and law enforcement with lawful authority.
- Business-transaction parties in a merger, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or insolvency, subject to confidentiality and appropriate protections.
- Other parties at your direction or with your consent.
7. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. We may make identifiers, device and online activity, and inferred interests available to advertising or analytics partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. Some state laws may define that activity as “sharing,” a “sale,” or “targeted advertising.” Opt out through the footer “Your Privacy Choices” link, a supported Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, [email protected], or +1 800 821-2358. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above. We consider transaction and warranty/return needs, the account relationship, tax and accounting requirements, disputes and limitation periods, security and fraud prevention, backup cycles, and legal duties. Periods vary by record. When information is no longer needed, we use reasonable procedures to delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, considering the nature of the information. No internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed completely secure. Use a unique confidential password and notify us immediately of suspected unauthorized account use.
10. Your choices
- Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link or contact us. You may still receive non-marketing order, security, or policy notices.
- Cookies and advertising: use cookie settings, the footer privacy link, browser controls, or GPC. There is no uniform standard for legacy “Do Not Track” signals, so the site may not respond to DNT except where required; we honor GPC where applicable law requires.
- Account details: update available information through the account or ask us to correct, delete, or close it. Some transaction records must be retained by law.
11. California disclosures
If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA (collectively, “CCPA”), applies to us, during the preceding 12 months we may have collected the identifiers, California customer-record contact/payment details, commercial information, internet or similar network activity, approximate geolocation, customer-service communications, and inferences described above. We use those categories for Section 4 purposes and disclose them to the service providers, contractors, carriers, payment parties, professional advisers, advertising/analytics partners, and transaction parties described in Section 6. Advertising-related identifiers and online activity may be shared or sold, as legally defined, for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell information for monetary payment.
Eligible California residents may request to know about collection, use, disclosure, sale, or sharing; access specific information; delete subject to exceptions; correct; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and receive non-discriminatory treatment. Requests may be submitted free of charge as often as applicable law permits.
12. Exercising privacy rights
- Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request.”
- Call +1 800 821-2358.
- For sale/sharing or targeted-advertising opt-out, use “Your Privacy Choices” in the footer or a GPC signal.
State your name, email or telephone used with us, state of residence, and request type. To protect privacy, we may match information to an account or transaction; information collected only for verification will not be used for unrelated purposes. We acknowledge and respond within the period required by applicable law. An authorized agent may submit a request; we may require signed authority and, where permitted, direct verification with you. If applicable state law provides an appeal, a denial will explain how to appeal.
13. Children
The site is for a general adult audience, not children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided information so we can investigate and take appropriate action. We do not knowingly sell or share information of anyone under 16.
14. Visitors outside the United States
We currently operate for the U.S. market. Information may be processed and stored in the United States, where data-protection rules may differ from those in your location. If we later intentionally sell into another country or region, we will provide additional notices and transfer mechanisms when required.
15. Third-party links
The site may link to services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their policies, which you should review before providing information.
16. Updates and contact
We may update this Policy for business, technology, or legal changes and will revise the effective date above. We will provide additional notice of material changes when required.
